A New Haven for Youth Haven: Our $2 million goal
Youth Haven’s emergency shelter in Barrie is over 100 years old and beyond repair. We are raising funds to build a new emergency shelter that is better equipped to address the urgent needs of youth in Simcoe County that are at-risk of or experiencing homelessness.
Our Plan
The Simcoe County Home Builders’ Association (SCHBA) is generously donating their time and professional expertise to transform Youth Haven into a welcoming, modern, suitable space for youth that are at-risk of or experiencing homelessness – a gift estimated at more than $1 million! While the build can’t wait, and is planned to be completed in the Spring of 2024, our fundraising campaign to furnish and build capacity for the facility, as well as cover additional building costs, will continue until October 2024.
